11. „IN THE WORLD OF INSPIRATION – SAXOPHONE AND HARPSICHORD”

Performers

Ignacy Stojek – saxophone, Paulina Tkaczyk-Cichoń – harpsichord

Programme

M. Garson, J.S. Bach/Ch. Gounod, C. Bolling, J. Vanvinckenroye, P. Iturralde

This concert is an invitation into a world where different eras and styles naturally and freshly intertwine, creating music that is alive, unpredictable, and unique each time. It is a meeting of diverse timbres and musical worlds, built on original arrangements and improvisations inspired by the works of composers from various periods and styles. Early music becomes here a starting point for free interpretation and creative dialogue. The harpsichordist and saxophonist, mutually inspiring one another, create a unique atmosphere based on attentive listening and spontaneous exchange of musical ideas. An important element of the programme is also the incorporation of jazz language – blues and swing stylizations appear, while the inventive instrumentation unites everything into a coherent, contrast-rich musical narrative.
